The Best Frozen Pizza Brand?

Dr Oetker provided me with coupons to purchase a pizza in exchange for a review but the opinion is my own.

Frozen pizza is a standby meal in this household.  There is nearly always one sitting in the freezer waiting for the time when we come home hungry and tired and want a quick and tasty meal.  Usually it will be supermarket own label as I haven't come across a brand that is tasty enough to be worth the extra money.  This Dr Oetker Mozzarella cheese frozen pizza completely changed my mind about that.

I wasn't expecting anything special and ended up with a vegetarian pizza as good as any I have eaten in local restaurants and better than a lot of takeaways.  The advertised thin and crispy base was exactly that.  There was enough sauce to taste but no so much it drowned out other flavours.  It was nice to get slices of mozzarella instead of the ubiquitous grated cheese. The flavours complemented each other with the basil coming through nicely and as it was cooking my kitchen smelt like a proper Italian restaurant.  It was advertised as cooking in 10 minutes but I found it took 15 minutes to get the base as crispy as I like.  These pizzas will be added to the shopping list as a freezer staple from now on and I'm sure the other varities will be just as enjoyable.
